“We really like Astorga, and when we come to Spain every year, we try to stop there either coming or going between Madrid and Ferrol. This was our first time at this hotel. Our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, with a pretty view of the plaza and monuments below. We also enjoyed the location, which was very convenient. Although there is a large, secured parking area, it can be a challenge for older adults and people with mobility issues since the lot is not located next to the hotel. In order to get back to the horel, there are two long sets of rather high steps to get back to the hotel that make it difficult. The bathroom design in our room was not very good. The very small shower is right by the door as you enter the bathroom. It leaked water all over, and we had to dry the floors after every shower or put our towels on the floor in order to avoid stepping on a wet floor and having a fall. Just to be picky, there was no soap in the shower container. The breakfast was definitely not up to a four star hotel, with rather insipid food and not a lot of variety.. It would have been nice to have some of the local pastries instead of the ones that looked like what they sell in AlCampo.”
