“This is a clean, modern hotel, with reasonable rates, in Port Said. I had a nice view of the beach in the distance, including great sunset view, and it's just a two block walk to the beach. (Oddly a hotel staff member said it wasn't safe to walk alone to the beach, but nothing seemed dangerous.) The beach is very popular with Egyptians. (Western bathing costume might be out of place in this conservative locale.) This hotel is a better location for beach vice exploring historic Port Said (and ferry to Port Fuad), although it is walkable. Alternatively a brief "In Drive" taxi for a dollar. There is a rooftop restaurant, which should have spectacular views (and one can see out), but the window condition is such that it's hard to appreciate. The breakfast buffet food is not bad. For $10 one can have buffet dinner there too, although honestly I'd recommend the $5 shwarma place around the corner.)”
