“Hotel Boutique Los Balcones felt less like a hotel and more like staying in our own beautiful 100-year-old mansion in the heart of Cuenca. During our stay, we were actually the only two guests there, which made the experience feel incredibly intimate, peaceful, and special. The rooms were spacious, elegant, and full of old-world charm, and the balcony doors opening to the street created a lovely fresh breeze throughout the room. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, and by the end of our stay it truly felt like coming home each evening. We also loved the location — right in the lively downtown side of the historic center with endless cafes, restaurants, and sights within walking distance. Because the hotel is located in the busier historic downtown area and the balcony doors open to the street, there can definitely be some street noise at times. Personally, we didn’t find it bothersome and actually enjoyed the energy and fresh air, but very light sleepers may want to know. Also, the hotel is historic and has stairs with no elevator, which could be difficult for some travelers with mobility concerns.”
