“Nightmare! Where do i start. 1st of all , hotel is under new ownership, some italians, not really friendly and don’t speak English or Spanish ( very well) . Its not even called El Caucho anymore... is Luismart or something like that. When you try to find it with google maps from expedia app it takes you to wrong spot. Had to ask locals. Reserved this place for 6 nights through expedia as i wanted to check out the boca chica area. Doesnt accept credit/ debit card. There is no restaurant open as advertised, since new ownership took place . Having a restaurant on site was a reason i chose the place, and pool. Pool was filthy. We used it a couple days but they dont run the filter on it. Don’t believe the photos advertised, the nice rooms pictured are of the rooms the owners and couple staff live in, not rooms you get when you rent. You get small two or one room run down closet size apartment that a uncomfortable tiny double bed barely fits in and are run down. Air conditioner in room made awful noise every five minutes so made it hard to sleep on and already uncomfortable small bed. Could only put up with it and girlfriend and and I decided to check out on day 3 as she had relatives coming to santo domingo, but the owner made me pay for all six day and not just the 3 days we were actually there. He was an arrogant jerk. Dont waste your money on this place. Its not as advertised. Also don’t expected a friendly free cup of coffee in the morning like most hotels. ”
