“The room was small but good use was made of the compact space, even to the extent of angling the corner of the double bed so it was easier to move around it without hitting the edges. There was excellent cross ventilation from the attic windows, making the room comfortably cool. We appreciated being able to get breakfast, by special order. The bicycle parking facilities were very good and secure. The host was very helpful, giving clear explanations and making us at home with excellent English (as well as many other languages!). Check-in at 3pm is rather late if you are cycling all day and want to get indoors to have a shower and relax. The hotel restaurant was not operating so we had to walk out to find one of the few places in town serving dinner. The location is nothing special, but it was easy enough to continue along the road to rejoin the Elbe river cycle path.”
