“The hotel was the closest to an event we were attending. Otherwise, we would not have stayed here. The check-in was stressful. We arrived after 10pm and the hotel was in darkness - we had to phone to get keys from a key box. This took some time, during which we were standing outside. Rooms were clean but floor was not vacuumed during our 4 night stay. Apart from a kettle, facilities were non-existent. No mini bar (looked like it had been removed!) No toiletries (shampoo dispenser was empty and was not refilled). The light over the bathroom mirror did not work. We were aware that there was no air conditioning when we booked but there were no fans. We had to keep the windows open so were disturbed by traffic and tram noise. No reception, no bar, no staff anywhere to be seen. Would not stay again and would not recommend. The room did not look like the photo on Booking.com. Friends stayed about 20 minutes away in a beautiful hotel with lots of facilities included in the price (which was significantly less than what we paid). That's where we will stay if we return.”
