“Nice and delicious breakfast, good surroundings and a lot of fresh air, SPA is reachable in 2 minutes by walk, welcoming reception. Disappointing experience over how my belongings were treated. I checked out and went straight to the hotel spa, leaving my bags by the reception. During the day, I realised I have forgotten a pack of cheese in the fridge in the room. When I returned, a vacuum-sealed cheese I’d brought from Italy the day before had been thrown out by housekeeping. It was sealed, fresh, and posed zero hygiene problem — and I was on-site the entire time, reachable in seconds by a quick call to the room or a word at the desk. Instead, my property was binned without a single attempt to reach me. Whatever the internal policy, throwing away a guest’s belongings with no notice is poor service and poor judgment. I left feeling my things simply weren’t respected — which is a shame, because the hotel and spa were otherwise enjoyable. I’ve never had something like this happen at any other hotel.”
