“My family (myself, husband and two small children) stayed here for two nights at the tail end of our trip to Cartagena. This quaint hotel is a few steps from Plaza Trinidad in Getsemani. Lots of restaurants and action steps from the front door, but the hotel itself is super quiet. The ladies who run the place are so kind and hospitable, especially Yobelda and Lizabeth. On the ground floor there is courtyard area with couches where you can relax, along with a small dining area where you can eat a fresh cooked-to-order breakfast (fruit, bread, juice, coffee, granola, yogurt, eggs) is included in the rate (breakfast starts at 7am). On the top floor there is a massage area and pool with loungers. There is also a private bathroom and shower up there so you don’t have to go back to your room. When we stayed, there seemed to be at least one other family with children, a couple, and a trio of friends. There was space for all of us on the rooftop by the pool without feeling overly crowded. The rooftop also has a direct view to Castillo San Felipe in the distance. One day we also ordered lunch (fish, rice, plantains) and it was delicious. You do have to knock or ring the bell every time you leave the building and want to re-enter and you do have to leave your room key with staff when leaving the building, but it was no big deal to us. This is definitely not a party spot, which was perfect for us. The ladies at check-in did take security seriously and requested to see not only the passports, but birth certificates, of our children because of the different last names. Thankfully we had copies, and again, not a big deal to us, but worth mentioning so others are prepared when visiting. We hope to be back again soon!”
