“Perhaps the only legitimate hotel in Gulangyu. The hotel is located right next to Shuzhuang Garden & Piano Museum, boasting scenic view of the bay area & sunlight rock. Its prime location is also highlighted by the fact that nursing home for retired government officials is situated a couple blocks away. The services in general exceeded my expectations. Staffs are very attentive and caring. Breakfast was good (mostly Chinese food though). My room seemed well maintained. Free shuttle from/to the ferry is also available upon request. A couple of downsides are that the building & facilities are a bit old and that the staffs don't speak English with the exception of 1 or 2. Overall I had a great time at the hotel and would most definitely recommend Marine Garden to anyone visiting Gulangyu. ”
