“The hotel itself was okay, decent for an overnight layover. The staff was able to converse via translation but no one spoke English. There are restaurants in walkable distance (also KFC and Family Mart). I would advise against this hotel if you can’t speak Mandarin. I had an overnight layover and booked this hotel because of the free shuttle from and to the airport. I was in contact with the owner of the hotel and followed all his instructions on where to go to be picked up. When I landed, I sent him a message as requested but I waited a while and there was still no contact from him. I called him via WhatsApp and he spoke no English (we have been messaging via WhatsApp translation). He ended up sending a Didi to come fetch me from the hotel. But it was a distressing time as I didn’t speak Mandarin and if I didn’t call him, I don’t think he would have sent anyone to come. The hotel is in no way soundproof, I could hear sounds from other rooms, and the bathroom smelled of a little smoke.”
