“Shanghai was our final stop after visiting four cities in China, and we were so pleased when we finally encountered reception staff who spoke English. It’s a good hotel for its value and has an excellent location. The neighborhood is cozy, with nice malls, charming cafes, and lively bars. The breakfast was decent, although there weren’t many options, it was fairly satisfactory. It would be wonderful if they upgraded the coffee machine, as the current one is quite old. One suggestion I have is for the staff to be a bit more friendly and welcoming. For instance, it would be nice if they made more eye contact and greeted guests with a smile instead of just looking at their phones at the front desk while guests are passing through the lobby.”
