“Rooms were lovely Breakfast was really good (mostly Chinese options) Pool was nice and very warm Beach was nice when it wasn’t busy Streets were beautiful and not crowded, there’s a nearby shopping mall with good food options and a big supermarket It’s not a traditional resort stay for westerners. You cannot drink by the pool unless it’s in a coffee cup (yes, we were literally offered a cocktail in a hot drink coffee cup??), and cannot eat by the pool. Everything has to be eaten and drank indoors in the restaurants. This was annoying and unconventional as we were out by the pool always around lunch. The included dinner is not good. We were only allowed to make our own sauce for the bland ish hotpot on the first night, when it was very busy with Chinese tourists due to public holiday. We had it again on the last night and the service was not as good for us. The other options were much too focused on Chinese tourists (pork offal soup). Because the staff don’t speak English, they couldn’t make our sauce properly when the DIY station wasn’t there and filled it with just vinegar and soy sauce which ruined the meal. The restaurant menu is also not very good at all and lacks conventional Chinese food and western food for non Chinese tourists. Even though we paid, skipped the dinner 2 nights and ate at a nearby shopping mall. The beach is nearby but not private. One day was a public holiday weekend and it was so busy, who had no issue staring at us (two foreigners) the whole time…. Breakfast had no barista on the coffee station even though it was there. Had to use a small machine instead. Pics are misleading. The resort shares a complex with a few other hotel and apartment buildings. The large pool is for us and the smaller pool is for them. There’s a total of 5 buildings. There is also a huge port right in front which is an eyesore. Overall, not a great resort experience as a foreign tourist. Maybe try one of the more established resorts. We had high hopes because the similar looking crowne plaza Phu Quoc in Vietnam exceeded our expectations with resort quality, service and food.”
