“The staff were very friendly. Booked a Superior room and expected basic cleanliness and maintenance—this did not meet the standard. First room had an electrical fault (key card triggered constant clicking and bathroom light flickering), so we were moved. Second room had clear issues: strong damp/mould smell from the air con and wardrobe, visible mould and damp inside the wardrobe (see photos), cigarette burn holes in the chair, and general poor upkeep. There was also constant scraping noise from the room above. We didn’t feel comfortable unpacking our luggage. Check-in staff were friendly and helpful, but the room condition was unacceptable for the category.”
