“The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming (and Meng Meng the cat is beautiful and very cute). She took care of us like a mom, and even helped us out with patching up a wound when I got injured. The location is very pretty, right by a peaceful lake and just a few minutes walk from the Reed flute cave. Breakfast was extensive and nourishing and the bed was very comfortable. The location is a bit removed from Guilin city center. This is not necessarily an issue: you can take an escooter for free or taxi to the city center for very cheap (about 10 yuan), but just worth knowing in advance. Another minor downside, is that the tour packages offered at the hotel, are somewhat expensive compared to tours available from other companies in the area.”
