“This hotel was a little way out of the central city area but it was so delightful. The décor was GRAND and delightful. the entrance had royalty memorabilia and tea memorabilia and comfort laid on. It was beautiful and divine. the room was huge with 2 queen size beds and heaps of room for luggage and a little door which opened up to a small outside seated area off your room. The bathroom had beautiful fresh white towels. We had a room with an accessible shower, eg not a shower over a bath and it was very roomy. the staff were very accommodating. We had a car and car parking was available undercover or outside for free. We were only here for 1 evening and it was very enjoyable. The hotel was close. within walking distance to a shopping centre but we were not there at a time it was open. It was within walking distance, down a hill, which meant you had to walk up the hill on the way back to some eating places. but apart from this there was nothing else around. We found the most wonderful Japanese restaurant down the hill and would highly recommend it for anyone staying at the Grand Hotel.”
