“We just returned from a 5 night visit to La Bougainvillea. From the time we arrived to the moment we left, it was just spectacular. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable-they truly have the most kind and hospitable staff. The resort is small so never feels crowded. It overlooks the most beautiful stretch of sugary pinkish white sand with direct beach access. It also has a beautiful infinity pool that we took advantage of (and the poolside drink service :)) It is also only about 10 minutes from Governor’s Harbor, if you need to go into town for anything. It is a little over an hour from the Gene’s Bay dock/preachers cave/Blue hole. The drive is easy though and the landscape is just stunning-and the amentities of the hotel make the drive well worth it!! We booked a Queen Garden room and it was perfect for my family of 4 (2 kids ages 17 and 10). The bed was heavenly, and I slept like a baby every night. The mattress was so comfortable and the sheets were a cool, crisp cotton-starched to perfection. I have to give props to the house cleaning staff because not only are the bed immaculately everyday. The room was also large enough that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other which was nice! There is a mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room and the shower was nice and large. The room also felt light and airy. The restaurant was delicious and we ate there quite a bit. The service was great and I really appreciated that they were so conscious of my daughter’s peanut allergy and all of the servers took note of that at all of the meals. I had considered other hotels on the island , but so glad I ended up with LaBougainvillea. It is truly a gem!”
