“We stayed here because we went to a concert for Hanging Rock and it was convenient. The free shuttle was particularly handy! The staff were really friendly, beautiful surroundings, nice enough foyer/restaurant. Breakfast consisted of a nice variety of hot and cold selections (albeit the 'hot' food was lukewarm). However the room was in serious need of an upgrade and a complete rip off for how much it cost. Firstly it was dark and dingy, with a poor attempt at a freshen up of what was once brick. No space for anything. Only one plug socket on the desk so had to boil the kettle in the bathroom!! Very old and stingy drinks tray with only 1 breakfast teabag each. Unbelievably there was NO FRIDGE!!! They have the cheek to provide a large enough milk but nowhere to store it. Tired wardrobe with paint peeling. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom has been renovated. Expected luxury for the extortionate amount they charge, and it was FAR from it. ”
