“The gentleman who checked us in was lovely. He was polite, welcoming, and very understanding of our service dog, which we greatly appreciated and which made a positive first impression. We recently stayed here and were very disappointed with the experience. The rooms were dated, mouldy, and covered in cobwebs, which seemed to be part of the décor. The walls were paper-thin, and on our second night we could clearly hear the guests next door stomping around and arguing. We could even hear them vomitting from their balcony. The accommodation was nothing like the newer cabins advertised on the website, which made the stay even more disappointing. When checking out, I handed in the keys and had a very awkward interaction with the publican. There was no friendly conversation or even a simple question about how our stay had been—just complete silence. A little hospitality and interest in guest feedback would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, our recent stay did not meet expectations, and we would not choose to stay here again.”
