“This hotel is an absolute gem. So close to Salzburg airport that it would take only about ten minutes to walk there, but also very quiet and tranquil. The staff were so kind and helpful; it’s a family run hotel which shows in the effort made to make each guest feel welcome. Our room was huge ( we got an upgrade with large shower, separate loo, a whirlpool bath and an enormous and very comfortable water bed. In the garden there is a beautifully situated and well- maintained swimming pond - an oasis of calm and natural beauty amongst the roses and trees. Breakfast was very extensive and generous and we’d have stayed longer if not catching a flight. We unhesitatingly recommend Hotel Himmelreich as a lovely, well-appointed and very well maintained hotel within a very close distance to Salzburg airport. They have both an underground car park and also some above ground parking. They also do bike hire which we didn’t try but will do so next time we stay- hopefully soon! A perfect hotel for couples, families, friends and single travellers. Everything was faultless.”
