“The location is quite good, close to the city park, not too far from the center and the promenade. The rooms are quite clean and quite well soundproofed. The staff are very happy to help if you need anything. They offer a free breakfast but it is quite modest: croissants with butter and marmalade, milk or tea. The window of the room I was in looked out on a small concrete courtyard (the space between two buildings) which is full of pigeons and serves as an acoustic amplifier for their constant flapping of wings and cooing which, due to resonance, turned into a continuous roar. If the windows are closed you are in the dark and without air, and if the weather is warm (which was the case when I was in the room) then you are also hot.”
