“Firstly we were greeted by the two Bernard Mountain Dogs, Alisia and Ulysses who barked and then proceeded to roll over and want their tummy rubbed! (They are also the size of a small horse!). We were then warmly welcomed by the team and while our room wasn’t ready was taken to the pool area for a spot of R&R (and a vino tinto or two!). Room was massive even though it was the last one they had and the only shame was that we could get one of the huge converted barrels to stay in but not their fault! Evening meal was substantial and staff again really attentive. Breakfast too. On the second day they recommended a local winery to walk to and we weren’t disappointed. Before breakfast we had the opportunity to harvest some of their grapes for their princely 600 bottles a year production of Malbec! Overall, first class. Great facilities. Super helpful and just fabulous attention to detail for such a small venue. Highly recommended!”
