“The room in the hotel was great and met expectation. The receptionists are also very helpful and available 24/7. They even helped us book a taxi for our departure to the airport a day before check-out. The hotel is in a great location and many nice restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores are only a few minutes walking distance away. If you have a debit card with Lloyds bank, then you will get your card blocked when you book with this hotel because Vilon passes your card details from booking.com onto wetravel.com manually one or two days before check-in. I spoke with Lloyds bank on the phone, and they said this was a security threat and if I gave access to Vilon to input my card details into wetravel.com, then I expose my card details to be used anywhere on the internet if it falls into the wrong hands. I’ve never had this issue with any other hotel while using booking.com and I find it odd that my card details must be used in an external website like wetravel.com to book for this hotel. Booking.com should be the only place where I should have to input my card details to book a room for a hotel. Fortunately, Vilon lets you pay manually on wetravel.com yourself instead of them doing it for you and I have two debit cards so I used my second debit card, which has a much smaller amount of money in it. And, to Vilon’s credit, after paying using my second debit card in wetravel.com, everything went smoothly on booking.com and the hotel. But, for a while until check-in, I was terrified that my card details were in danger of being shared around the internet or that I was being scammed. That's the only part of this experience preventing me from giving Vilon 10/10.”
